Usage Instructions
Sheet to Doc is a powerful tool that automatically writes Excel, CSV, JSON, JSONL data into docx format Word templates, converting them into Word documents in batches.
Building on the basis of mail merge, this tool has developed more features, such as custom file names, custom file paths, embedding images, QR codes, table, and so on.

Prepare Your Data and Images
First, you need to prepare the data to be converted into documents, which can be in the following formats:
Excel spreadsheet
CSV data
JSON data
JSONL data
If you need to upload images, you need to prepare the image files in advance:
JPEG
PNG
GIF
BMP
JPG

Prepare Your Word (.docx) Template
Next, you need to prepare a Word document template for generating the final documents. The template should contain placeholders from the Excel spreadsheet data.

Open Sheet-to-Doc
You can access Sheet-to-Doc in the following ways:
Use a modern browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) to visit https://s.wtsolutions.cn/sheet-to-doc.html.
Download the tool as a desktop application for offline use (can be used without network). Download
Use the addin version in Excel or WPS. Download
Fill in Data
Copy data directly from your Excel spreadsheet, or from CSV, JSON, JSONL files,
Paste it into the “Data” field in the Sheet-to-Doc application
You can view a data preview in the application.
Upload Images (If any)
If you want to write images into Word templates, you also need to upload images. You can upload multiple images at once or upload them one by one. The list of uploaded files will appear below the upload area. If you don’t have images to upload, you can skip this step.
Upload Template
Upload the Word template file you prepared.
Data and Placeholders Comparison
Compare the data input in step 1 with the content of the Word template uploaded in step 2, helping users identify errors in the template and providing suggestions for modification.

Generate Documents
Before generating documents, select the generation mode and define the file name.

Click the “Generate” button. The tool will use data to populate the template and generate professional documents based on the template you prepared.
